Megan Alexandra Schultz-Loyd is an Afro-Filipina artist based out of Los Angeles, CA. She is a former costume fabricator for live action/theater looking to make a career change to animation, games, and illustration. Her current career focuses are in 2D backgrounds/environments, prop design, and visual development/ concept art. Her foundation in digital arts started with fashion illustration and design after graduating from FIDM in 2009. Her education in the area of animation and games includes the completion of the Animation and Motion Arts Certificate program from Pasadena City College in 2020, as well as applicable courses from East LA College, Project City, and most recently CGMA. Her project focuses are primarily background design + paint, prop design, illustration, and asset creation. As an artist, Megan brings an enthusiastic energy and a collaborative, creative mind that can build on concepts and contribute to projects in a multitude of ways. She is accustomed to working in fast paced and critique heavy environments. By prioritizing communication she ensures that she can do her best possible work.
When Megan isn't making digital art, she spends her free time sewing, crocheting/knitting, tending to her garden, and raising butterflies.
